The Fortress of Sagres is one of the biggest points of interest Costa Vicentina. With stunning views along the coast, where it is possible to see the natural heritage of the coast.
The fortress of the 17th century, the lighthouse of the 19th century and the cliffs up to 60 meters high are sufficient reasons for a visit. The cape at the most southwestern point of Europe is also one of the most beautiful spots in the world to watch the sunset.
The most commonly observed species of small cetaceans are the Common Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin and Boto throughout most of the year. Other species may also be sighted, including Risso’s Dolphins, Striped Dolphins and Killer Whales. Occasionally, we also see whales on their migration route. The most frequent species, sightings of which increased in 2012, were the Dwarf Sperm Whale and Fin Whale.
We offer boat trips to watch sea birds off the coast of Sagres, using bait to draw more birds closer to the boat. The species you can watch include: Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater, Great Shearwater, White-Chinned Petrel, European Storm Petrel, Wilson’s Storm Petrel, Great Skua, Common Tern or Sandwich Tern. But you may be surprised to see rarer birds that are harder to find.
Departing from Porto da Baleeira, we sail close to the coastline and head for Cabo de São Vicente. Discover and enjoy unique landscapes on this exciting boat trip.
Don’t miss the opportunity to try your hand at traditional handline fishing. An activity for the whole family. Complete fun for children. The most common type of fish and the easiest to catch is the Wahoo.
Departing from the Lagos Marina, our semi-rigid “Slash” boat takes 20 to 25 minutes to travel 11 nautical miles (around 20 km) from Lagos to Benagil. On this tour, you’ll discover the most famous secret in Europe, the “Algar de Benagil” grotto, among the other sites, caves and rock formations found along this section of the coast around Benagil.
We spend an hour and a quarter visiting the caves and rock formations of Ponta da Piedade. Departing from the Lagos Marina, our local skippers will show you every little detail of this outstanding coastline. Our boats are the most stable and reliable for this type of trip. They also have cushioned seats.
With Blue Shark you now have the opportunity to fish a wide variety of species, including white seabream, axillary seabream, snapper, common pandora, corvina, conger eel, etc… often in the company of dolphins and other marine mammals that live in the clear and calm waters of the Algarve.

For people who like to explore places surrounded by nature that are not spoiled by human activity. Much of the trip takes place off the road, travelling along the seafront, within the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve. The main aim of the tour is to disconnect from the stress of big city life, having fun and relaxing in the most beautiful and authentic landscapes we still have in the Algarve. Our company’s main aim is to ensure that our customers spend as much time as possible outside the car and in contact with nature. Nothing could be better than exploring these places with local people who know the region better than anyone.
