The Pousada Marvão sits within the walls of the village of Marvão, in the heart of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, in the Alto Alentejo region. It is made up of four small traditional houses and was one of the first Pousadas de Portugal to be built in the 40s.

At the Ninho D'Águias restaurant, the panoramic view is impressive.
Treat yourself to a couvert of olives, olive oil spread and fleur de sel and don't miss out on the appetisers served: oven-roasted cacholeira, partridge in escabeche or pézinhos de coentrada are just some of the starters you can try. Taste the cuisine of the Alto Alentejo and try one of the house's emblematic dishes: codfish à Ninho D'Águias. Finally, don't forget to try our convent sweets, such as the walnut encharcada or the sericaia with Elvas plums.
