The Pousada Convento de Tavira is located in the historic centre of Tavira. The Convento de Nossa Senhora da Graça da Ordem de Santo Agostinho from the 16^th century was reconstructed, allowing the Pousada to be created. This hotel in Tavira is surrounded by a courtyard and sits just minutes on foot from the Roma Bridge over the Gilão River and only 15 minutes from the Ilha de Tavira beach.

Order a drink at the Pousada's bar while you visit the archaeological site, with vestiges of the Moorish Almóada Neighbourhood, discovered during the construction and conversion of the building into a Pousada. In summer, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, take a stroll through the garden or relax with a Magic Spa Massage.

Don't leave without trying local Algarve cuisine at the Mouraria restaurant. You can also park your car at the Pousada's private car park. The reception is available 24 hours a day.

LOCATION AND DESTINATION
Due to the proximity to the Ria Formosa natural reserve, there are extensive birdwatching trails you can visit on foot or by boat.
