Sweet dreams at the blue Island

In times gone by, this fort was witness to historical naval battles and protected the island from invaders. Today, the view evokes a huge sense of peace, where the colour of the sea merges with the blue of the hydrangeas and the tone of the sky. From the rooms’ balconies and terraces you can see the Horta marina, Pico island (Portugal’s highest peak) and São Jorge island, a little further out.

The accommodation is spread out over three floors, inside the walls of the old Fort. The 28 rooms feature comfortable beds, a private bathroom, telephone, LCD television, minibar, air conditioning and a safe. Everything you need to make the most out of your stay.
