The room that today houses the main Suite was the birthplace of Constable Nuno Álvares Pereira, an important figure in Portugal’s history. Covered in stone, with a large
canopy bed and balcony, it offers guests a unique experience.
Despite its historical roots, the building is not frozen in time. Restored under the leadership of the
architect Carrilho da Graça, the rooms offer
LCD TV, safe, minibar, air conditioning and other modern comforts from the 21st century. The property features a total of 24 rooms, 3 of which are in the tower and 8 in the main building where the monastery was housed, plus 13
rooms in the new wing along with the Spa. From here, you can enjoy the beauty of the Alentejo plains with the utmost tranquillity.

The standard rooms are located in the old wing inside the old Monastery. They measure at least 19 m2 and all feature a double bed, ideal for couples. They are all equipped with an LCD TV, safe, minibar, air conditioning, telephone that you can use to make external calls, and a hairdryer.

Located in the new wing, these rooms are spacious and measure 24 m2. All the rooms have a modern design with space for up to 1 extra bed. They all have a private balcony with a fantastic view of the Alentejo plains. They are located in the Old Wing and are all different (min. of 20 m2). Only one of them has twin beds. Since they are located in a historic part of the hotel, the majority of the rooms have stone walls and 3 have double four-poster beds with canopies. The two suites are located in the masted tower of the Monastery, one with 2 beds (35 m2) and the other with a double bed (45 m2). Both have a balcony with gorgeous views of the plains and the swimming pool. Unique rooms for special moments. Master Suite
Town and Lowland view
This is the most impressive room of the Pousada, measuring 42 m2. The story goes that D. Nuno Álvares Pereira, the Holy Constable of the Kingdom of Portugal, was born there. A room made completely of stone, with a huge fireplace and a central canopy bed. It has a very romantic balcony and a bathroom with shower and bath. It is truly a room for kings and queens. They are all equipped with LCD TV, safe, minibar, air conditioning, telephone with international calls and hair dryer.
